Accessibility Statement

Accessibility Statement

Felbertauernstraße Aktiengesellschaft is committed to making its online offerings accessible. Our goal is to continuously improve the accessibility of our toll shop so that all users—regardless of individual abilities or limitations—can purchase and use tickets and information without restrictions.

This statement was prepared in accordance with the requirements of the Disability Equality Act (Behindertengleichstellungsgesetz, BGStG), the Austrian Web Accessibility Act (Web-Zugänglichkeits-Gesetz, WZG), and with consideration of the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, conformance level AA.

1. Status of Compliance with the Requirements

The website shop.felbertauernstrasse.at is largely compliant with the requirements of the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at level AA.
The accessibility review was conducted in May 2026 as part of the launch and is based on an assessment by IT-Center & Kubid GmbH (the contractor for the toll shop).

2. Non-Accessible Content and Justification

Please note: Due to ongoing technical developments and adjustments to our content, new accessibility issues may occasionally arise. We assure you, however, that all deficiencies known to us have been remedied to the best of our knowledge and ability.

  • Stripe Payment Element (payment processing): The payment area in the checkout (credit card, Apple Pay, Google Pay, PayPal, EPS) is provided through an embedded element from the external payment service provider Stripe (js.stripe.com). The appearance and usability of this element are controlled by Stripe. We have configured font sizes, contrast, and theme settings to the extent permitted by the Stripe Appearance API, but we cannot influence the internal keyboard navigation, screen reader labels, or focus order of this third-party iframe.
  • Google reCAPTCHA v3: On the login, registration, password reset, and profile editing pages, Google reCAPTCHA is used to prevent spam and abuse. Because this is an externally integrated service from Google, we cannot fully influence its accessibility. The integration runs invisibly in the background, which largely avoids interactive barriers for assistive technologies.
  • Apple Wallet and Google Wallet: The optional provision of purchased tickets in the Apple or Google Wallet app is handled through interfaces from Apple and Google, respectively. The display and operation of the wallet passes within the respective wallet app are the responsibility of Apple and Google.
  • PDF documents (invoices, vouchers, tickets, terms and conditions): For technical reasons (FPDF/FPDI-based generation as well as PDF templates from the print workflow), the PDF documents generated in the shop are not fully accessible. In particular, structural information (tagging) and alternative text are only partially available. All information contained in these PDFs (order details, ticket IDs, terms and conditions content) is additionally available in accessible text format in the customer account as well as in the order confirmation email.
  • QR codes: Tickets and vouchers contain automatically generated QR codes as images. These cannot be read directly by screen readers. The ticket ID behind the QR code is also displayed in text form immediately next to the QR code, so that redemption at the toll station is possible at any time even without scanning.
  • Cookie consent banner: The cookie consent banner in use is based on an external library. Keyboard operability and button labeling are provided; in some respects (focus order in detail views), there are minor limitations.
  • Preview of voucher designs (PDF iframe): On the product page of a voucher, a PDF preview of the selected design is optionally displayed in an iframe. The internal structure of the PDF is not fully accessible. All relevant product information (value, description, validity) is alternatively available in accessible form on the same page.

We are continuously working to remove these barriers or, where possible, to offer equivalent accessible alternatives.
